The Vision of our Gallery
The vision for our gallery was to see if any artist has or is creating art that has to do with death. Since death has been seen on Tv, social media, movies and etc, why wouldn't someone try to paint what death has been represented in there life and how they see it. Since Tv, social media, and just technology in general havent been around but just recently why wouldn't someone from the past not try to draw it. This why we tried to incorporate artists from the early days of history, to show that in the past and now, there are different meanings to death and different ways to draw and express it.
Our Mission
Our mission is to show others how different artists portray death, what it means to them and they decided to draw it. Our gallery consists of four artists who passed away and some that are still with us today. These artists show paintings and sculptures that depict death which is why we decided to choose them even though there are many more that show it.
What ideas are you trying to introduce?
The ideas that are going to be shown in our gallery are just any artist that has painted, drawn or just has interpreted death in any way. We were looking for artists from the early times of history to just any artist that has just recently started and loves to paint horror or death. This gallery wasn't looking for any specific to be here, we just found any artist that had death in their portfolio and they qualified in the gallery.
